West Palm weekend

Since I was laid off and no one is hiring I have had all this time to do what ever. I felt like catching some waves so I thought going going to West Palm beach would be fun.

Half way there... Busted. 70mph in a 55mph zone was a good way to land a $200 dollar ticket. Sonofabitch. --hey if my car had cruise control it would have never happened-- well it probably still would have.

I got to West Palm around 12 at night to find out the college campus my friend stays at is a "dry campus". No alcohol. Buhh how lame is that.

7am the next day I enjoy the beautiful view of the grave yard and got ready to surf with the sharks.

Saturday was pretty good, chest high swells at the Lakeworth pier made it worth it and then back to school to break some rules. Had a few drinks at Flag Pole and then went back and watched a documentary on 2 Pac.

Sunday would have been good but there were sharks trying to get an early lunch. Waiting for a wave and seeing a 5 foot shadow swim under you is a little freaky to say the least. Then to hear fishermen yell "there are sharks in the water!" I was sold. I didn't need to surf that bad. And I was out.

Hurricane Hype

Hurricane Ike brought in some good waves but it was like a washing machine out there. Choppy and unorganized wave brakes made it a waiting game that was laaaame. Cought a few that made it worth it but I have Costa Rica on or Nicaragua on my mind.

Jon Montesi from Westside Skateshop (www.westsideskateshop.com) took us to Donovan's Steak and Chop house and in the bathroom they have a glass of mouth wash. I have seen a lot of crazy things in bathrooms but never seen anything like that. And if you ever get a chance to go to Donovan's take it! They have great food and great service.

There are so many beautiful women here I can't stop twisting my neck.

It is great because there are so many beautiful women here half of them don't know they are beautiful so it is easy to talk to them and all the guys are dorks wearing busted ass cowboy gear. I think I could live out here for a little bit.

Photo time.

I am so hyped I got a surf board for hurricane season --told you the surf was up-- even though Bonita had a blemish near the tail I fixed her up quite nicely and now she is sea worthy. This is my first time fixing a surf board, it is pretty minor but it is great to show Bonita some TLC. I was also in a photogenic mood so I snapped a few photos just for fun. Now if I can just win the lottery and go to Bali.
